Mother 02:43
Mother There ain’t no other like the great earth mother who began her quest of birth across the land in which she covered she never looked back on the creations that she mothered but she watches over bringing forth her love, light, cover. When she awoke from the dust of her labours she thought she ought to conjure up a couple of neighbours not once but twice she drew two circular friends in the sky and as each one rises up the other falls in goodbyes. The first of her two children was a hot ball of fire lighting up the days with rays of burnings desire the second of the two was a little more subdued a pale shining lover who we know as the The moon. There ain’t no other like the great earth mother who began her quest of birth across the land in which she covered she never looked back on the creations that she mothered but she watches over bringing forth her love, light, cover. Sprinkling the earth with colour kinds, her mind that’s so sublime and all that she created did evolve over time. Each one was different in its own right, crawling, walking, taking flight her picture was complete and nothing could defeat the mother’s might. Her might. She brings forth new life.

The Atom 04:40
The Atom This is the atom The rhythm of existence The heartbeat of everything This is every breath you take This is all the love you make This is every time, you laugh, you sleep, you cry You go back, rewind. This is your mind. This is the atom Trajectory of the sun The seasons we rely upon This is endless creation, rebirth, elevation, this is life, this is patience. And it’s the moon phases, reliable changes, clock faces, rule breakers, life chasers. This is love at the root of it all This is music, this is soul. This is love at the root of it all This is music, this is soul. This is the atom the rhythm of existence the heartbeat of everything it defines the flowing of the lines that are painted and drawn on your skin over time. What lies between the cracks are our own ancient artefacts untouched and unscathed they try to slip away we open up our dormant flame. This is love at the root of it all This is love at the root of it all This is music, this is soul

Reflections 07:14
Reflections My mind is clouded, I am surrounded by voices saying things I never should have doubted. Mesmerised by, I realise your selfish ways as they take shape and take light of your eyes. Truth defining trying to find a silver lining visualising what’s exciting, so conniving, so inviting. Never acknowledging attention that you seek your intentions lay and fade to die, with the lies you speak. Harboured by your energy I was falling now I’m free I lay to rest now to my relief I taste, I see I am free. Look inside your mind and you will find the things that you hide. Look inside yourself and you find the things you deny. Look inside your soul and you see your own demise Drinking from your pool of sweet elixir, at first i was Transfixed but now afraid to say I’m drained and can’t be fixed no. Too many times I tried to pave the way, see where to go but searching blind I stumble on losing all I know. Feeling so fiery desiring to be inspired through this knowledge I acquire. As I steady my reflections, making room for growth correcting with intent I am unbound my expectation. Harboured by your energy I was falling now I’m free I lay to rest now to my relief I taste, I see I am free. Look inside your mind and you will find the things that you hide. Look inside yourself and you find the things you deny. Look inside your soul and you will find your own demise Have you ever wondered what it what it would be like, just to reclaim your power. x2

Disconnected Sometimes I feel disconnected and it makes me restless I walk so delicate to remain protected but through these pathways I am misdirected. Lack of contact Senses retract. Well if you didn’t see it, did ya And if you couldn’t feel it, could ya. Struggling to find, find the time to fall into this heart, heart of mine to twist to turn, i year to learn to grow to see me be so divine. I sense this great urgency engaged. Well if you didn’t see it, did ya And if you couldn’t feel it, could ya. I don’t even hear the birds sing no more It’s all gears turning, my ears burnt from the war Always sore, it’s always lonely Used to see my range by how far you could throw me, I’m only starting Always hungry, mostly starving Life taught me to settle for an apartment, no garden Only garden I’m parting for is Maddison Square Barely happy I’m here Tread lightly Screwed my head tight, G Likely to override it Used to get so excited Deliver on my word & usually overnight it God damn man, I used to get so excited Back to the back of my head, packed it with scraps of god If you crack through the lead I’m that worthy A therapist in 16 bars, I’m that wordy Down be the only way out, I’m that Kirby It’s too damn early to act hurt, he Pack light & act right, a flashlight Couldn’t hide your dark, and I just keep talking, I beg your pardon We could have a heart to heart if you let your guard down You could make some art if you weren’t so star-bound You could fall apart if you played your cards right They gon’ try to teach you how to push the cart right But you could probably aim a little closer to Cartwright Just need a spark, right? Ain’t what you achieve, but it’s what you embark, right? Too many dogs for you to learn how to bark right What is the leash for? We were never free to fly, that’s what the geese for & it’s all grease, & it’s all leased & it’s all creased & worn out Torn out the trees for free & sold out Freeze the cold out The breeze diseased Seek your own now & they police just ‘bout every piece till it’s Kapish.

Remedies 06:11
Remedies Watch the world with wandering Curiosity sinks it’s teeth into me Fear, a fire I must learn to bury Questioning the nature of reality. If you could only see that life’s a tapestry that we exist upon. If you are broken then i can’t mend you you are your enemy you are, you are your remedy. Colourful sight lies before me The never ending conversation You’re staring in admiration You’re fighting the temptation. If you could only see that life’s a tapestry that we exist upon. If you are broken then i can’t mend you you are your enemy you are, you are your remedy. Remedy me with energy from your heart so slow and steady. Skin so soft you rush into me open up my conscience guilty. Drowning me your warmth surrounding fills me up you fall unto me. Climbing me with endless chills that that taunt and turn me into frenzy. If you could only see that life’s a tapestry that we exist upon. If you are broken then i can’t mend you you are your enemy you are, you are your remedy.

about

Kyoshi, our debut album, is a reflection of self and explores how humans are reflections of the universe around us.

Throughout the two years of almost entirely self-producing this album, we laid out our emotions and lives for the music, dedicated to this collection of songs that embody themes of healing, nature, heartbreak, the female spirit and the joyous unpredictability of being human.

Recording and producing this record was a place of solace for us, a time to listen to deep within ourselves and the synth-crazed, psychedelic soul jungle, which at times broke us and also filled us with love and joy.

Like the opening of a valley, the album welcomes you with sounds of rain and birds, foreshadowing the textural odyssey that is to come. Throughout the duration of Kyoshi you’ll hear otherworldly space funk jams, to heart-rending honey drenched soul, right round to psychedelic trips through smoke and shade to where the rings of Saturn spin and dance like grooves of a record.

Kyoshi features close friends of the band Kiyanosh, Ms.Thandi and Charbel, as well as KOOL A.D. A new friend from across the globe. The album's closing composition travels to many different places in itself, recapitulating the music like one's late night reflections of the day.
