*About the track*

Reflections is a song of hard truths.

Inspired by a breakup and the resulting roller coaster of emotions, Reflections is a free-flowing musical exploration of our relationship to change. The band use the driving rhythm and paced lyrics to act as a symbol for momentum, for which the flutes, synths and horns can dance around.

The contrasting moods of the songs sections is reminiscent of 70’s psychedelic music, and poetic lyricism “Look inside yourself and you find the things you deny” proves Kyoshi are maestros of their craft.

My mind is clouded, I am surrounded
by voices saying things I never should have doubted.
Mesmerised by, I realise
your selfish ways as they take shape and take light of your eyes.
Truth defining trying to find a silver lining visualising
what’s exciting, so conniving, so inviting.
Never acknowledging attention that you seek your
intentions lay and fade to die, with the lies you speak.

Drinking from your pool of sweet elixir, at first i was
Transfixed but now afraid to say I’m drained and can’t be fixed no.
Too many times I tried to pave the way, see where to go
but searching blind I stumble on losing all I know.
Feeling so fiery
desiring to be inspired through this knowledge I acquire.
As I steady my reflections, making room for growth
correcting with intent I am unbound my expectation.
