Mother

There ain’t no other like the great earth mother who
began her quest of birth across the land in which she covered
she never looked back on the creations that she mothered
but she watches over bringing forth her love, light, cover.

When she awoke from the dust of her labours
she thought she ought to conjure up a couple of neighbours
not once but twice she drew two circular friends in the sky
and as each one rises up the other falls in goodbyes.

The first of her two children was a hot ball of fire
lighting up the days with rays of burnings desire
the second of the two was a little more subdued
a pale shining lover who we know as the

The moon.

Sprinkling the earth with colour kinds, her mind that’s so sublime
and all that she created did evolve over time.

her picture was complete and nothing could defeat the mother’s might.
